Fancy Margaux Turns 5

The morning of the party, we went to get her Fancy Nancy hair done at Lillie's & Spike's in Oak Park.  NuNu did a wonderful job!
Is that Fancy Nancy?  No!  It's Fancy Margaux!
Butterflies, of course!  Fancy Nancy loves butterflies!
 A very pleased little girl.
Complimentary make up and hair chalk for the birthday girl!
 In her glory!
Ooh La La!
Bonjour!  Welcome to The King's Crown for lunch! (Cute signs, invitations & thank you cards were purchased as a file on Etsy from Pixel Parade!)
 Jasper, the maitre d'!
Our neighbor's relative owns a wedding rental business, and the chairs really made the whole set up extra fancy!
Fancy Nancy loves all things French and fancy!
The accessories and party favor/craft table.
Margaux helped paint this backdrop.  Boas for everyone!
I read Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy and then each girl chose her own puppy + collar to decorate with gems.  They also got round tags to name their puppies and add to the collars.
Then I read Fancy Nancy and the Spectacular Spectacles.  Each girl got a pair of butterfly spectacles to decorate with gems and feathers.  Tres magnifique!
The little mademoiselles accessorized with jewelry, colored hair pieces, crowns, boas and lip gloss that came in little polka-dot change purses.

We also had a wonderful face painter that I highly recommend: Valery, www.chicagofacepainter.com
Twelve fantastic little mademoiselles getting their party craft on!
Each little girl (And Bex!) got a Fancy Foto taken as another party favor.
Beautiful cake!  I highly recommend:  Cathy, www.cakesbycathy.me

Taking it all in and loving her Happy Birthday serenade!
 Five candles, big wishes.
 Gift time!
Party success!
Merci!

Miss Margaux chose Fancy Nancy as her birthday party theme this year and I had SO.MUCH.FUN planning her party around this theme!  We had 11 fabulous little girls in attendance + their wonderful mommies and one aunt, who I am proud to call my dear friends!  Grandpa & Grandma Prater also decided to drive over from Michigan to attend the party, and they were a huge help to us!  Last but not least, a special shout out to my friend, Bex, who always understands and appreciates my party visions and swoops in at crunch time to save my sanity!  She made the 12 butterfly shaped PB&Js and assembled the lunch plates while I scurried around with last minute prep!  The sun was shining, making it a perfect October Saturday for our back yard tent celebration.
