Little Dancer

 

Today was GoGo's first ballet class!  We enrolled her at The Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park.  Is there anything cuter than little girls in tutus?  She was a bit of a busy bee today, but I am confident that she will learn the ropes quickly.  The instructor, Miss Gina, was using pretend play to get them to do certain movements.  At one point, she asked them to crouch down in their nests like birds and then jump back up.  Margaux didn't jump back up because she said that the eggs in her nest were broken!  I love her colorful imagination and pretend play, but we'll see how Miss Gina feels about it, I guess!  :)

Summer Finale

 

And so it goes...summer's end.  I am aware that summer technically stretches into the second half of September, but back-to-school-time and Labor Day feel like the end to me!  We did a lot of fun things this summer and we were very busy, which made it fly by faster than usual.  This past week marked our last little vacation of the season by going up to northern Michigan for 5 days.  We saw family and Margaux had a nice time playing with some of her cousins.  My goal for next summer is to NOT be working every other weekend...praying for the right opportunity path to come along!
